Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of zawajlink.com ("Zawajlink", "we", "us"). By registering or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Zawajlink.

1. Who can use Zawajlink

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must be legally free to marry (not currently married, unless seeking a permissible additional marriage and prepared to disclose it).
  • You must provide accurate information about yourself.
  • You must use the platform for its intended purpose: marriage in accordance with Islamic values.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
  • You must not share your account or create multiple accounts.
  • You must verify your email address to activate your account.
  • You must keep your profile information accurate and up to date.
  • We may suspend or delete your account if you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for dating, casual relationships, or any purpose other than marriage.
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or defraud other members.
  • Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity or intentions.
  • Post or send content that is unlawful, offensive, or against Islamic etiquette (adab).
  • Share phone numbers, emails, social media handles, or any other contact details through chat (they are blocked by design).
  • Ask for, share, or upload photographs.
  • Advertise, promote, or solicit on the platform.
  • Attempt to bypass our moderation, security, or paid-tier limits.
  • Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the platform.

4. Wali (Guardian) involvement

Sisters are required to provide Wali details during profile creation. The Wali may be notified of interests, may attend supervised video meetings, and may be granted read access to chats, according to your settings.

Walis do not create accounts on Zawajlink. They access meetings via one-time secure links. You are responsible for the accuracy of the Wali details you provide.

5. Subscriptions and payment

  • Zawajlink offers a Free tier and paid tiers (Premium and Premium+).
  • Paid tiers are billed through Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel any time from Account → Billing.
  • See our Refund Policy for information about refunds.
  • Prices are shown in GBP and may change; we will give notice of any change before it takes effect.

6. Content and ownership

  • You retain ownership of the information you provide.
  • You grant us a limited licence to display your profile to other approved members and to operate the platform.
  • We own the platform, design, code, and brand.
  • We do not claim ownership of your personal data — see our Privacy Policy.

7. Moderation and enforcement

We review every profile before it appears in search. We may:

  • Reject or remove any profile that does not meet our standards.
  • Suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Remove or flag messages that breach our guidelines.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.

8. Disclaimers

Zawajlink is a facilitation platform. We do not:

  • Guarantee that you will find a spouse.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of information provided by other members.
  • Act as a Wali, guardian, or marriage officiant.
  • Provide legal, religious, or financial advice.

You are responsible for your own decisions and for conducting your own due diligence before any marriage commitment. We strongly encourage involving your family and Wali in every stage.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Zawajlink shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding a claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including for fraud or death/personal injury caused by our negligence).

10. Changes to the service or these Terms

We may update the platform and these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
